A brewing storm could not dampen this lively launch event!
The design community came out to meet style-setter and designer de rigueur, Laura Kirar, and view her newest lighting collection for Boyd at the Donghia Showroom in New York City.
The Sala Series calls attention to the floating illuminated form, beautifully rendered glass shades and leaves the structure itself as a supporting detail.
The shapes, referencing the industrial era of the 1940's, are refined utilitarian fixtures and more delicate than their historical cousins.
These pieces, made from Boyd's hallmark elements of brass and glass, have a certain vintage grace while remaining both modern and fresh.
The collection features two sconces, a modular linear pendant and a chandelier.
