Boyd Lighting – Winner of the 2012 Made in USA Foundation Award

Last night Boyd’s owner and CEO, Jay Sweet, attended the Made in USA Foundation’s Hall of Fame award ceremony in Santa Monica, California. Out of 60 nominees, Boyd Lighting was announced as one of the 20 winners of this honor… along with great American companies like Google and Herman Miller.
The Made in USA Foundation’s Hall of Fame “celebrates businesses who exhibit excellence in USA manufacturing practices and standards.” All nominees for the Hall of Fame are evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Job creation in the USA
- Accurate labeling
- Promotion of USA made products
- Labor & environmental standards
Made in USA Foundation encourages American values around the world, raising the bar concerning labor & human rights. They, more importantly, work hard to create good paying jobs in the U.S. to promote a sustainable, healthy economy.
